About us

We are a non-profit society and the museum is wholly run by volunteers, if you live locally and would like to get involved, please contact us via our Facebook page.

Our Museum contains artefacts dating from the stone age to the era of coloured photographs!

Some of our most popular exhibits are dedicated to the Cameronians, our local regiment; to the Castle which once stood just outside the town; and we have an entire wall dedicated to old school photographs.

Our opening times are 14:00-17:00 Saturday & Sunday during the open season (which runs from the first weekend in April to the last weekend in September).

We can also open the museum up for you by appointment. Please contact us on our social media page to discuss this, or any other queries you may have.

You can reach us on Facebook by clicking the icon on the right.
